It's been so long...

It's been so long, since I wrote
now it's time I write a note
to myself and to those who care
who've always been there
for me when I was down
and thought prudent to drown
But No! I didn't do this crime
Cuz all I wanted to do was shine
and love those who cared 'bout me
live life to the fullest of glee

:D my first try at a poem longer than 4 lines....hehehe :D

Morning Mystery - Part 2

My brother dropped me at the Cocoaplex and I saw Mike and Mona there sitting in the almost empty food court. Mike and Mona were two of my best friends from high school.

I went and greeted them. Mona jumped at me, tightly hugged me and started sobbing. I wasn't sure what to do or even say. She was crying as if she never cried before. I just looked at Mike and even he looked as puzzled as me.
I told her to get a hold of herself, "Mona, it's okay sweetie! What happened? What's going on!" I was starting to get worried. She gently let go of me. I could see her eyeliner being washed away from her tears which was rolling down her cheeks.
I wiped her tears off her face and told her to sit down. She sat beside me, while Mike was sitting on the opposite side of the table.

She couldn't stop sobbing. Watching her shed tears was no less than watching a suspense movie for me!
Worried, I asked her again, "Mona, what's wrong?!"
"He broke up with me..." she put her hands on her face to cover them.
Mike exasperatedly slammed the table, got up and turned around to stand in anger away from Mona.
"Awww. But why did he break up with you?" I asked trying to hide my anger as much as I could.
"He said he.....loved.....someone else" she couldn't stop sobbing.
"WHAT?!!!!" I tried to sound as socked as I could. That bastard loving someone else didn't come to me as a surprise at all. Some of my friends from college know the true him. I had warned Mona 2 years ago, but...
"Yea....some girl in his college. they've been going out for 6 months now..." she wiped the tears off her face and looked angry.
"So basically, he was cheating on you!" I angrily exclaimed!

Mike turned around and shouted, "WE TOLD YOU NOT TO GO OUT WITH THAT SON OF A BITCH ! BUT NO, YOU HAD TO SHOW YOUR BARBIE BLONDNESS AND GO OUT WITH KEN!!!!!"

She started sobbing again.
"Mike, it's alright. Please don't swear!" I got up and tried to calm him down.
"Why is she so f*cking dumb!" he rhetorically asked looking at her. I could see the love and care in his eyes he had for her. A true friend, he was!

Mike, the cool and quiet guy who for reason never had a girl friend. No, he wasn't gay. He played offense on the High School soccer team. He also plays offense in his University's Junior Varsity soccer team. The guys looks damn cute and handsome. Almost all the girls were head-over-heels for this guy. Who wouldn't be? Not only was he good looking, he was the best player in the Soccer team and was one of the most intelligent person I've ever met in my life. What was peculiar to me was that he never liked hanging out with the so called 'popular' kids.

He preferred hanging out with me ever since he moved from Minneapolis in 10th grade. Mona and I had been friends since 9th grade. Both Mona and I were newbies, so what better way to make friends than with the newbies!
In English class during 10th grade, Mona, Mike and I were in the same group for a group project......and that's how it all began!
He didn't really like Mona in the beginning I guess because she was a bit full of herself at times. Plus she had a crush on him in the beginning. But I guess that crush eventually died as we moved on in 11th grade. (I won't lie, I did think he was damn cute, but I never developed feelings for him, we always discussed about studies and our common interests such as watching the discovery channel, the universe, etc (except sports!)....barely any fluff stuff)

All 3 of us at least had 2 classes together the following 2 years. Then parted ways for different universities/colleges. Mike, of course, got in UPenn not because of his soccer abilities, but because his SAT was one of the highest in the school. We all get together in the summer whenever we can. And today is one of those days.

"Mike, it's alright! She's a novice...." I said looking at her. Mike looked at me and raised his eyebrow at the word novice. "You know what I mean!" I quickly replied.
"Mona, it's okay. He was a bastard anyways," I can't believe I just swore, "There are thousands of guys out there! A guy who cheats on you is neither worthy of your love nor your tears!" I continued to talk and simultaneously loosing my cool had to shout, "WIPE UR DAMN TEARS AND STOP WHINING ABOUT THAT ASSHOLE!!" I thought I sounded like a hypocrite.
