One quite often in his or her life feels disappointed at either with his or her own self or at someone else. But, why do we feel disappointed? Answer: expectations.
We quite often expect a lot from life, not just from ourselves, but also from others. And when these expectations are not achieved, we become disappointed. I personally don't know which is worse, from own self or from others...on second thought, I do...
Have I ever ever felt disappointed because of myself or others? Duh! Of course, I have!!!!...But not to the extent where I go cursing myself or at others for days and days...it's just transitory. The phase for me doesn't last for long. But I think...in fact, I'm sure, when others get disappointed by me, their phase of disappointment prolongs enough to hurt me not only mentally, but emotionally as well. What's the difference, you ask?

For me, being hurt mentally means it will last for a short period of time that when I wake up in the morning, it will not have that big of an effect on my daily activities. Whereas, being hurt emotionally will not only have substantial effects on my daily tasks, but also will haunt me in the long run, which is horrific I tell ya!!!!!
Well, I've been a disappointment!!!...and it hurts...badly....mentally and emotionally! :(
